Sri Lanka Marxists appoint organizers for the Wanni and Batticaloa districts

Apr 05, Colombo: Sri Lanka Marxist People's Liberation Front (JVP) has appointed two parliamentarians as the party’s organizers for the Tamil Tiger dominated Wanni and Batticaloa districts.

Parliamentarians Ramalingam Chandrasekhar and Mohammed Mussamil were appointed as special organizers for Wanni and Batticaloa districts respectively at the JVP ‘Convention of Delegates’ held at Henry Pedris Grounds in Colombo Tuesday.

JVP leader Somawansa Amarasinghe said that the JVP was the only party that can solve the problems of the people of Sri Lanka.

JVP lacks support of the ethnic Tamils and this is the first time JVP attempted to appoint organizers for the Tamil Tiger dominated areas.
