Sri Lanka bombs Sea Tiger HQ, destroys several installations

Apr 04, Colombo: Sri Lanka's war planes today pounded the LTTE's Sea Headquarters in Pudukudyirippu, Mullaitivu, and destroyed it completely, causing heavy damage to the Tiger organization, the Sri Lankan military said.

“Air Force jets bombed Tigers main sea HQ, destroyed buildings, fuel storage, vehicle park area and several other installations,” Air Force spokesperson Group Captain Ajantha Silva said.

He said that the “fuel storage is under fire now.” However, he said information was not available about the casualties to the Tigers.

Meanwhile, the LTTE denied that the Air Force attack hit their naval headquarters, but said two civilians were killed when Air Force jets bombed a populated area.
