LTTE targets civilians who reject to pay ransom - Vavuniya

The LTTE terrorists who operate in the Vavuniya area for collecting ransom launched attacks targeting the civilians who reject to pay ransom for the LTTE outfit.

The latest attack took place in Vavuniya this morning, Sunday the 08th of April.

Manikku Miththaraja is a government registered contractor for road development and he has his own vehicles. Miththaraja has received several warnings from the LTTE outfit as he rejected the earlier request made by the LTTE to pay a sum of 2.5 million for the LTTE outfit.

The LTTE cadres lobbed a hand grenade towards the Miththaraja's residence in Vavuniya at 6.30 p.m today and nobody suffered injuries due to the incident, police sources said. However, his vehicle was slightly damaged due to the explosion of the explosion.

Vavuniya police is conducting further investigations.
