A soldier was killed and four others sustained injuries due to the mortar attack launched by the LTTE terrorists targeting the security forces personnel on duty in Vavuniya yesterday, Tuesday the 10th of April.
Defence sources said that the LTTE terrorists fired mortar rounds at 2.30 p.m targeting the troops on duty at the defence line at Mullikulam in Vavuniya.
LTTE radio communication confirms that 20 LTTE cadres have been killed due to the heavy retaliatory attack launched by the security forces.
