SL forces are continuing to liberate more civilians under the clutches of the LTTE

In a press release today Nesan Shankar Raji of EROS (Eelam Revolutionary Organisation) stated that the SL armed forces were advancing deeper into the LTTE's illegally held territories held under the LTTE and consolidating their positions in an around the newly captured Kokkadicholai area. "The armed forces are now consolidating their positions in and around the south and western areas surrounding Kokkadicholai".

Nesan stated that the SL armed forces had great success in chasing the LTTE cadres out of Mahaoya-Pullumale (A5) right upto Rukamputtur.

"The SL soldiers have now re-opened the A5 and are in the process of monitoring the locations that were used by the LTTE cadres before they fled away from the area and removing the booby traps that the LTTE cadres have planted".

Nesan Thirunesan stated that the SLAF have been busy pounding the Sea Tigers under the command of Col. Soosai and crippling their infrastructure. Nesan stated that the SLAF were successful in destroying key Sea Tiger locations in Mullaittivu and most recently Puthukkidiyiruppu. Nesan stated that "conducting an aerial attack on these bases was vital because this is where the Sea Tigers mainly launched their suicide operations against the SL Navy and this is indeed is a great loss for the Sea Tigers and more of these attacks by the SLAF are to come in due course".

Nesan stated that the armed forces have captured more of the LTTE's mortar launching locations and the prized "Navarathnam" mortar launching base has been successfully taken over by the SL armed forces. Nesan stated that the SL soldiers were highly spirited and determined to put the fear into the LTTE cadres defending their illegally held territories from the SL armed forces that are advancing further and further into their TIGER territory.

Nesan Thirunesan stated that the decision of Prabhakaran promoting his son Charles Anthony as the head of the LTTE's Air Wing was a grave mistake and stated that his son was now an additional "Enemy of the State" and will be added to the country's "Most Wanted List" and his details would be passed to international law enforcement agencies.

Nesan stated that he was surprised that Pottu Amman (Head of the LTTE's intelligence wing) had kept his mouth shut over the whole matter along with the other members of the LTTE's executive committee including ex-member of EROS K.V. Balakumaran.
