Govt. will ensure development of every region

ATTANAGALLA: Mahinda Chinthana would not deprive any part of the country of development, and progress Attanagalla Pradeshiya Sabha Member Priyantha Pushpakumara (UPFA) said.

He was responding to a query by PS Opposition leader M.I. Nisthar Ahamed (UNP) whether the broadening of Thihariya-Varana road has come to a standstill. Priyantha Pushpakumara said, there are shortcomings in Attanagalla area. These shortcomings should be looked into.

As the President’s co-ordinator for Attanagalla, I assure you, that all development activities in this area would continue without bias and prejudice. Funds have already been allocated to uplift 26 village areas in Attanagalla. Measures have been expedited to renovate rural roads under the Jathika Saviya programme.

Mahinda Sirimevan (UPFA): Present Government has a definite plan. It is being implemented sans politics. The Government’s aim is to get people’s participation in development.

Hemal Mendis (JVP): Urged the Sabha to remove all unauthorised constructions within the Sabha area without any discrimination.
