Ambassador Richard Boucher, US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs, is to visit Sri Lanka this evening (8th) for a three day official tour.
According to the US embassy sources, the Ambassador is to hold talks with President Mahinda Rajapaksa, and Government officials including the senior military officials on the peace process and Human rights situation in the country. He is also to meet with civil society members in Colombo and Jaffna, the sources further said.
Ambassador Boucher is scheduled to address a press conference on Thursday (10th ) before leaving the island.
