Sri Lanka President arrives in New Delhi

Apr 02, Colombo: Sri Lanka President Mahinda Rajapaksa arrived in New Delhi last night to attend the 14th SAARC Summit. He traveled on MIHIN LANKA, the new Sri Lankan airline.

Indian Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment Meira Kumar welcomed the President at the Palam Air Force Station.

President Rajapaksa also met with Mani Shankar Aiyar, Minister of Panchayati Raj, Youth Affairs and Sports, and Development of the North Eastern Region.

Presidential Secretary Lalith Weeratunga and Sri Lankan High Commissioner Romesh Jayasinghe were also present.
