LTTE weapon dump uncovered - Batticaloa

SL Army soldiers continuing their clearing operations in the newly liberated Eastern Province uncovered a large dump of weapons belonged to the LTTE terrorists at Tihiliveddi in this morning (July 30).

According to the defence sources in the East, 26 claymore mines, 61 anti personnel mines, 3 anti tank mines, 250 detonators and 25 Kg of C4 explosives have been unearthed from the dump that was found in thicket.

Clearing operations are being continued.
