Army artillery attack kill three terrorists and injure six others-Vavuniya

At least three LTTE terrorists were killed and six others were believed injured when troops of the SL Army retaliated artillery shells in defence towards a group of LTTE cadres attempting to lay claymore mines at the FDLs, at Villathikulama in Vavuniya yesterday (10, July).

According to the military officials in Vavuniya, the terrorists drew fire when they attempted to infiltrate the forwards defences. Bodies of the dead LTTE cadres were observed scattered beyond the FDLs, the officials added.

Meantime, SL Navy declared names of eleven LTTE terrorists killed intercepted through LTTE communication, of the recent seaward clash erupted off Pulmodai, on Saturday (08, July).
